Galveston, Texas (KTRK) – Police said an accident near Ball High School left one person dead and several others in critical condition in Galveston.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. Friday, Galveston Police launched an investigation into a fatal crash near 41st Street and Avenue O across from Ball High School.
The deceased person is considered a juvenile, but authorities have not disclosed the age or description of the victim.
Police did not confirm whether any of the victims were students or school staff.
When the incident occurred, it was reported that the Ball High School football team and support groups were on their way to a varsity game in Texas City.
